Obituary-Last Friday morning Mrs. Andrew Swanson [40] was suddenly taken violently ill. A doctor was summoned who did what he could but to no avail. She died in the night after an illness of only seventeen hours. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon. Not withstanding the inclement weather, quite a large number of relatives, neighbors and acquaintances from far and near had gathered at the Swedish church to witness the sad ceremony. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Sanden, after which the Baptist minister spoke a few words of consolation. The deceased leaves a husband to mourn the loss of a good gentle and beloved wife, and eight children to deeply feel that a kind and loving mother has gone from them, never to return. Their many friends sympathize with them in their bereavement.

Mrs. Swanson, the wife of A.G. Swanson, of Marcy township, died early last Saturday morning from the effects of premature childbirth. She was buried Sunday in the Swede Valley cemetery south of Ogden. She left a husband and several children, some grown. The bereaved father and children desire to thank many kind and loving friends for their Christian aid and sympathy.
