Edna Lawton, 80, died Sept. 12, 1993, in the Independence Health Care Center, where she lived. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Carson Independence Chapel; burial in the Lee's Summit Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel. Mrs. Lawton was born in Pleasant Hill in Cass County and was a lifelong area resident. Survivors include two sons, Earl Lawton, Deepwater, Mo., and Jack Lawton, Missouri; three daughters, Dorothy Scoville, Raytown, Patty Jenkins, Sunrise Beach, Mo., and Brenda Canterbury, Holden, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
