Donna Mae Daniels, 64, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Community Hospital North, in Indianapolis. Born March 11, 1939, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Daniel William and Olga Jane (Claytor) Gahimer. Survivors include her mother of Shelbyville; two sons, John “Willie” (wife, Lorena) Daniels, of Chickasha, Okla., and Todd Allen Daniels of Pendleton; one daughter, Anita McDonald of Shelbyville; one brother, Danny (wife, Rose) Gahimer of Woodlawn, Wash.; two sisters, Ruth Reynolds and Sharon I. Gahimer, both of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Russell Gahimer, one daughter, Jane Ann Daniels; and one grandson, James Lee McDonald. Ms. Daniels moved to Shelbyville four years ago. She previously lived in Chickasha for 23 years. She was a caregiver for Share of Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha for five years, retiring in 1996; and had been a self-employed caregiver for two years. Ms. Daniels graduated in 1957 from Waldron High School. She was a member of Flat Rock Christian Church. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Blue Ridge Cemetery, in Blue Ridge, with the Rev. George Plantz officiating.
