Olga Jane Gahimer, 87, of Shelbyville died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at Major Hospital. Born Sept. 8, 1919, in Illinois, she was the daughter of Texas Theodore and Irene (McNeely) Claytor. She married Daniel William Gahimer on May 22, 1937, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1974. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Marie Reynolds of Shelbyville; son, Danny Dale (wife, Rose) Gahimer of Woodland, Wash.; grandchildren, Anita McDonald, John Daniels, Todd Daniels, Charles Hudnall, Jane (husband, Doug) Stocklin, Rhonda Gahimer, Randy (wife, Kathy) Gahimer, Sherry (husband, Lou) Meir, Linda Reynolds, Lisa (husband, Keith) Loveless, Jean (husband, Larruy) Bush, Cindy (husband, Brian) Cochran, Paula (husband, Rob) Offner, Virgil Gahimer, Jeremy Gahimer and Charles Gahimer, several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gahimer lived in Shelbyville most of her life. She had been a press operator for Plymate Cleaners for several years and a cook at Waldron Health Care for several years. Mrs. Gahimer was a member of Waldron Baptist Church for more than 75 years. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge. Memorial contributions may be made to Waldron Baptist Church, in care of Glenn E. George & Son Funeral home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
