Married at Madison, Illinois on 27 Mar 1839 to Rev. Albert Hale. Member of 2nd Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Ill.
Founded one of the first social service groups in Springfield - Dorcas Society, a community wide group of women, which provided for those in need.
Three children, Catherine, Sophia and Rev. Albert F. Hale.
Buried originally at Hutchinson Cemetery and removed from Hutchinson Cemetery to Oak Ridge Cemetery on July 30, 1884
