DEATH CLAIMS MRS. ACKERMAN

Margaret Liechti, daughter of Samuel and Margaret Liechti was born in Vernon Township, Isabella County, August 27, 1896 and departed this life April 3, 1968 at the age of 71 years.

She was united in marriage to Thomas Ackerman February 12, 1913 and to this union were born ten children, four of whom preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband Thomas, five daughters, Hazel Beatty of Clare, Frances Chaffee of Sterling, Doris Eisenhauer of Harbor Beach, Margaret McPhall and Bernice Eberhart both of Clare, one son Neil of Union, Mich. Also 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, one brother Sam Liechti of Farwell and one sister Pearl Nickerson of Lansing.

She spent her entire life in the Clare area and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Grange and Farm Bureau.

Services for Mrs. Ackerman were held Saturday afternoon, April 6 from the Stephenson Funeal Home with Rev. Donald Winegar officiating and burial in Cherry Grove Cemetery. (Clare Sentinel, p. 14 - Clare MI – 11 April 1968)
