Harold ‘Archie’ F. Trimble of Marshallton

Harold “Archie” F. Trimble, 78, of Marshallton, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jean Devine Trimble, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage.

Born in Marshallton, he was the son of the late John H. and Catharine Shoemaker Trimble. He lived his entire life in the house where he was born.

Archie graduated from Downingtown H.S. in 1954 and worked as an oil burner technician for H.H. Palmer Oil, Sunoco and Davis Oil, retiring 1999.

He was a member of Grove United Methodist Church, the West Chester Lodge #322 F. and A.M. and he was also a Scottish Rite Mason.

He was a train enthusiast, loved to sit on his front porch and enjoyed traveling having visited all 50 states.

He was a former member of the West Bradford Fire Co.

In addition to his wife, Archie is survived by his brothers, Kenneth and Ronald (Joan) Trimble; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 29, at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., 229 South High Street, West Chester, 610-696-0134, where the family will receive guests starting at 9 a.m. There will be a Masonic Service starting at 10:15 a.m.

Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.
