He was born June 11, 1930 at Loop, Texas to Ira & Rosa Dodd. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He moved to Ruidoso in 1978 and had worked for Texaco/Chevron. He married Betty Mitchell in 1967.
He is survived by his wife Betty; 1 sister, Mildred Dories of Odessa, TX; nephew Ronnie and his wife Sissy of Abilene, TX; niece Connie Aday and her husband Roger of Ruidoso; several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Edward, Lloyd, Troy and Richard.
