LYDIA FORBUSH TAYLOR
A VETERAN OF MISSOURI AND NAUVOO FALLS A VICTIM TO PNEUMONIA

Colonia, Juarez, Mexico, April 12 -- Yesterday, Lydia Forbush Taylor, a faithful veteran of the Church, died of pneumonia and general debility at this place. Mrs. Taylor had a fall eight months ago, injuring her hip. She has been a great sufferer but endured it without a murmur. Sister Taylor was born in Underhill, Vermont, Jan. 5, 1830. Her parents joined the Church and gathered with the Saints in an early day, she suffered with the Saints in Missouri and Nauvoo, and emigrated to Utah in 1850. The next year she accompanied her husband to San Bernardino, California, returning to Utah in 1857. She has resided in various places in Utah, New Mexico and Arizona, and came to Mexico two years ago, where she has lived with her sons, Ernest L. and Edwin E. and her daughter, Lilly Maxfield. She leaves five sons and one daughter, and many grandchildren, to revere her memory. She died as she had lived a faithful Latter-day Saint.
