Walter J. "Chick" Burbsnk, 70, a resident of Dallas died at the West Valley Hospital Saturday, September 3, 2005.
He was born in Pedee, Oregon on August 22, 1935 the fifth child of five born to Orlando Nathaniel "Doc" and Laura Davis Burbank. He lived in Pedee until he moved to Dallas in 1996. His first wife, Nancy Loanne Mesecher died on December 29, 1986. They had three children. On February 14, 1996, he married Goldie Bonita Hilburn Sammons in Dallas. Chicki worked in the logging industry with his father and brothers. He also drove log truck for many years. After retiring he enjoyed fishing. He and Bonnie have traveled to many small out of the way places in Oregon. He loved old time country music and often went to the Guthrie Grange jam sessions and other venue to listen to good country music.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Dallas, children Roger Burbank of Portland, Tanya Burbank of Portland and Travis Burbank of Salem, step daughters Colleen Risen of Michigan, Kelly Clark of Nevada Brenda Yundt of Philomath and Cathy Ramos of Corvallis along with three grandchildren Jacob, Rachel and Camber and several step grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Bob of Hoskins and Tom of Keizer, sisters Vivian Blankenbaker and Helen Spinney of Dallas.
