Vivian Christine (Burbank) Blankenbaker of Dallas, Oregon died April 7, 2018 as a result of Alzheimer’s. She was born December 17, 1926 in Pedee, Oregon to O.N. “Doc” and Laura (Davis) Burbank. Vivian was the first of five children raised in Pedee. She graduated from Pedee H.S. and then attended Linfield College in McMinnville.

She married Dallas Wayne Blankenbaker on January 18, 1952, he died in 1981. Vivian enjoyed reading, playing piano and spending time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Vivian is preceded in death by her husband; sister Helen Spinney; brothers Bob, Tom and Walter “Chick” Burbank. Survivors include her son Stan Blankenbaker of Dallas; daughter Penny (Dave) Lowther of Philomath; 3 grandsons, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory. A private family service will be held at a later date. Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family.
