J. Sparks, 92, Dies at Markle
Born and raised in Rock Creek Township;[wrong,born Wilkes Co.,NC,his father didn't move to Wells Co. until 1834] Later moved to Markle

Mrs. W. C. Divilbiss and Robert Sparks of Huntington are children.
John Sparks, ninety-two years old, died at his home in Markle, at Morse and Charles streets, Thursday evening at 5 o'clock.
Mr. Sparks was born in Rock Creek township.[wrong,born Wilkes Co.,NC] He lived on his farm for many years, later moving to Markle. He is survived by his widow, one son and three daughters. The son is Robert Sparks of Huntington. The daughters are Mrs. W. C. Divilbiss of Huntington, Mrs. William Shorey(Schory) of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Herran of Laud, Whitley county.
The funeral arrangements have not been completed, but the funeral will be held Sunday. Burial will probably take place at the Sparks cemetery, south of Markle.
