Whitewater- August Ewert, 81, retired Whitewater farmer, died Wednesday at Axtell Christian Hospital.
He was born Jan. 11 near Whitewater and had been a lifetime resident of the area.
He married Albina Schmidt May 12, 1910.
He was member of the Federated Church.
Survivors, in addition to his widow, include a half-sister, Mrs. Anna Harms of Route 3, Whitewater; and one brother, Henry of Winton, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Federated Church. The Revs. Dean Roy Miller and Gary Harms will oficaiate and burial will be in Grace Hill Church Cemetery. Lame Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
