Margie R. Ischy, age 78, of Georgetown, passed away on February 27, 2019. She was born in Georgetown on November 2, 1940 to William O. Thompson and Blanche Ann (Emerson) Thompson. Margie graduated from Georgetown High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University. She married Walter L. Ischy on March 16, 1963. Margie was a teacher with Jarrell Independent School District for many years. She was a member of the Strickland Grove Church of Christ and enjoyed reading and crafts.
Margie is survived by her son, Robert Ischy of Georgetown; her daughter, Ellen and husband Tony Walz of Lancaster, Wisconsin; and grandchildren, Andrew Walz, Amber Walz and Diamond Ischy-Lyons and husband Zach.
A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Berry Creek Cemetery in Georgetown.
