The funeral ceremonies will take place this morning in the city hall park at 11 o'clock; after which the body will be conveyed to Oakland cemetery and deposited in its final resting place.
All the friends of the deceased are invited to attend and to join in the procession.
The public schools will be suspended by order of the board of education and the teachers and pupils are expected to be present in bodies representing their respective schools.
The children of the grammar schools who desire to attend the ceremonies at the park will meet in their respective school rooms at 9 o'clock and proceed under the direction of their teachers to their appointed places.
The board of education, the teachers, and the pupils of the high schools will march in procession to the cemetery, but the children of the grammar schools, after the conclusion of the services at the park, under the supervision of their teachers, will be dismissed to their homes or to the care of their parents.
The graduates and former pupils of both high schools are requested to assemble at their respective schools at 10 o'clock.
