EDITH MAE SELF
Edith Mae Self, 89 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at the La Plata Nursing Home.
Born May 10, 1914 near La Plata, Missouri, she was the daughter of Harvey and Ollie (Johnson) Wilson. On Dec. 20, 1934 in La Plata, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Claude L. Self, who preceded her in death on Mar. 26, 1976.
Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include two aunts, Alta Lunsford and Faye Lunsford, both of Guymon, Oklahoma; and several cousins.
Edith lived most of her life in Adair and Macon Counties. She was employed with the La Plata State Bank for over 29 years, retiring in 1977. Edith was a member of the La Plata Christian Church, a charter member of the Homemaker's Sunday School Class and was the church librarian for a number of years.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003 at the La Plata Christian Church in La Plata, Missouri. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery.
