Isabela, born at Berwickshire, Scotland, was the dauther of Johnson and Susanna (Steel) Redpath. A Dissenter, she married Robert McAdam, another Dissenter, on the Chain Bridge, Lamberton Toll, Berwickshire, Scotland. Her nine known children were Susannah, Eleanor, Hannah, George, Robert Patrick, Johnstone, Anthony Forster (or Foster), John Thompson Foster, and Thomas F. Gethen.
Isabella's grave is located in Berwick-upon-Tweed in the same plot as a Robert McAdam, who apparently is neither her her husband nor son, and daughter, Susan (McAdam) Stewart.
The three gentelmen pictured at her grave in the photo very graciously stopped their work for a short time to locate the site. Thier help is very much appreciated.
