REGISTER, Ga. - Mr. Bobby Ray DeLoach, age 67, died Thursday morning at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a 1961 graduate of Statesboro High School. Mr. DeLoach was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. He was employed many years with Bulloch Fertilizer in Statesboro and later as location manager with Kaiser Agricultural Chemical Company and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Valley of Savannah - Orient of Georgia Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and the Statesboro Shrine Club. He was a member of the Middleground Primitive Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman with a great love for deer hunting and fishing the Ogeechee River.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Jeanmarie Franklin DeLoach of Register; a daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Warren Holland of Brooklet; two sons, Stacy DeLoach and Tracy DeLoach of Register; seven grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Glenda Stringer and Sandra and Henry Clay, both of Statesboro, and Carol and Haywood Boyd of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Lamar DeLoach of Metter; his mother-in-law, Jean Franklin of Register; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Mary Ann Franklin of Register and Wayne and Cheri Franklin of Savannah. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elder Howard Rushing officiating, assisted by Elder Steve Taylor. Interment will be in the Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews; Justin Franklin, Jason Franklin, Brian Howell, Jason Whitfield, Mike Boyd, Ken Boyd and Ronnie Stringer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Curl, Sonny Granger, Clyde Wilson, the members of the Boyd's Coffee Club and employees of Boyd's Restaurant.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459; or the American Cancer Society, 515 Denmark Street, Statesboro, Ga. 30458.
