Francis J. Miller, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at his home. Born in Defiance, OH, Francis worked as a driver and salesman for Perfection Bakery for 38 years, retiring in 1984. He was a charter member St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and belonged to The Knights of Columbus Counsil 451 4th Degree, American Legion post 47 and was a WWII Army Veteran that served in Company B 249th Engineer (Combat) Battalion. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years Teresa (Schliesser) Miller, son, Michael L.(Sandra L.) Miller of Powell, OH, daughters, Constance Myers of New Haven, Becca Woods, Kristina (Jim) Gill and Penny Miller all of Fort Wayne, brother, Herbert (Joan) Miller and sister, Mary Ann Kosier both of Ridgeville Corners, OH, grandchildren Briana, Tony, Tessa, Nicholas, Emily (Gabe), T.J. and Kira. Francis was preceded in death by his son in law Lyle Myers. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd. with Fr. Daniel Leeuw and Msgr. John Suelzer officiating, calling 1 hour prior to Mass. Calling also 2 to 6 pm Sunday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. with a Vigil service at 5:30 pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors by American Legion post 47. Memorials may be made to the Gibault Boys and Girls Home, Parkview Hospice or Masses.
