Arledyne Bernhardt was born on July 2, 1928 to Emil and Olena (Hansen) Bernhardt at their home in rural Trimont, Minnesota. She was born with Developmental Disabilities. Arledyne received home tutoring. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. After the sudden death of her mother in an automobile accident, Arledyne lived and was cared for by her family on the family farm. Along with her father and step-mother, Ellen, they travel various states in their camper. On February 29, 1992, she became a resident of the Trimont Health Care Center. She greatly enjoyed watching television, listening to music and drinking coffee. Arledyne enjoyed collecting beanie babies and greatly enjoyed the staff and people at the Trimont Health Care Center where she was loved by many.

Arledyne died on Friday morning, February 9, 2007 at the Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont, Minnesota at the age of seventy-eight years.

She is survived by her step-mother, Ellen Bernhardt of St. James, Minnesota; two step-sisters, Jane Semanko and her husband, Charles, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota and Mary Frederickson and her husband, Arnie, of rural Hanska, Minnesota; step-brother, Norman Anderson and his wife, Shirley, of Denver, Colorado; three aunts, Mable Bernhardt of Jackson, Minnesota, Viola Bernhardt of Trimont, Minnesota and Nelda Berry of Minneapolis, Minnesota; several cousins and other relatives.

Arledyne was preceded in death by her parents, and other relatives.
