Jimmie L. "Jim" Droegemeier, 61, Reading, died Monday Jan. 3, 2005, at an Emporia hospital.
He was born April 7, 1943, in Burlingame, the son of Carl C. and Viola G. Farrington Droegemeier. He grew up in Burlingame and attended Burlingame schools.
He was a stone mason and worked for Carlson Tile and Granite. He was a member of Bricklayers Union Local No 4.
He married Janet Sue Carlson on June 30, 1962, in Osage City. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Jimmy Droegemeier, Reading; two daughters, Linda Droegemeier, Allen and Janet Stone, Emporia; three brothers, Charles, Rossville, Ralph, Reno, Nev., and Gerald, Burlingame; a sister Mary Ester Escatel, Topeka; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 8, at Burlingame Federated Church in Burlingame. Burial was in Burlingame Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Valley Elementary School Special Services and sent in care of the funeral home, P O Box 196, Burlingame, Kan. 66413.
