OBITUARY, Connersville [IN] News-Examiner, Wednesday, December 9, 1998:
Vina Clark Schlechtweg, 96, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, at Lincoln Centers-West.
She lived in Andersonville for several years and resided at Lincoln Centers in Connersville for the past several years. She was a homemaker and wrote the Andersonville news for the Rushville Republican newspaper for several years. She was a member of Andersonville Church of the Nazarene where she received a Distinguished Service Award for 50 years membership.
She was raised from the age of 7 by Fred and Myrtle Krug. She married Noland Clark on May 2, 1920. He died Oct. 4, 1959. She married William Schlechtweg on Oct. 7, 1960. He died May 7, 1987.
Survivors include three daughters, Gay Hunter of Laurel, Nancy Smith of Greensburg, and June Taylor of Springdale, Ohio; a son, Charles Clark of Connersville; three stepsons, William Schlechtweg of Arkansas, Charles Schlechtweg of New Mexico and John Schlechtweg of Rushville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters, four sons, two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with Everett Quinton officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
