One of 10 children born to John Jenney and Catharine Davis, Beersheba was named for her paternal grandmother, Beersheba/Barsheba Bassett Jenney. At the age of 15, Beersheba moved with her parents and siblings from Bristol County, Mass. to Scipio, Cayuga County, New York. There she met and married in 1818, Eleazer L. Salisbury b. 4 January 1798, son of Benanuel and Grace Spalding Salisbury.

By 1819, Eleazer and Beersheba were on their way west along with other Salisbury and Jenney family members. Their first child Almira was born in Genesee County, New York, and by 1820, the young family was living in Fitchville, Huron County, Ohio. Also taking up residence in that county were Beersheba's brothers Obadiah and Mordecai, as well as Eleazer's brother Robert and sister Isabella . The rest of the John and Catharine Davis Jenney family (less Sarah Jenney Wing and Sylvia Jenney Gifford) would join them by 1824.

Eleazer and Beersheba had five children -- Almira, born 10 September 1819 in Genesee County, NY; Sarah or Sally born about 1821; Franklin born 24 November 1822; Benjamin born about 1824; and Warren G., born 17 May 1828. The four youngest were born in Huron County, Ohio.

Beersheba Jenney Salisbury's death date is unknown. Because she did not sign for her dower rights in the sale of Eleazer Salisbury's last property in Huron County, the likely date of her death is between the birth of Warren and 16 March 1829. See bio for Eleazer L. Salisbury.
