Parker E. Amos, 49, of Platte City, MO, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, OK.

Parker was born June 26, 1964 in Atchison, KS to Charles Edward and Dixie Lee (White) Amos.

He was raised in Weston and was a 1982 graduate of the West Platte R-II High School.

Parker worked as a truck driver for the Carter Energy Gas Co. of Kansas City, MO.

He was of the Christian faith, enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, camping, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Parker was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Lucille White; his paternal grandparents Charles E. Amos and Ethel Everhart; his father; and an infant sister Tina Lee Amos.
