Joseph C. Antell, 89, of Gladstone, Mo., passed away Friday, July 5, 2013.

"Joseph Carl Antell, Sr., son of James Howard Antell and Ruth Pauline (Stockhaus) Antell Traver Churches, was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on August 26, 1923.
Joe fought in World War II, serving in the Army Air Force in Australia and the Philippines on the island of Leyte. He drove heavy equipment including cranes and trucks and loaded bombs onto airplanes. After the war Joe became a tool and dye maker, working many years as a foreman in a shoe machinery manufacturing plant in Lynn, Massachusetts. Joe moved from New Hampshire to his own home in Gladstone, Missouri in October, 2003. Joe passed away in the early hours of the morning on July 5, 2013 following an illness and two weeks in the hospital." --jaeren (#47669688) on May 01, 2016
