Jacqueline H. Anderson of the Cottage Home community died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at an independent living center in Roswell, GA. Mrs. Anderson was born in Paris, TN, daughter of the late C.J. and Jessie Lou Hill and was preceded in death by a sister, Gay Hill Keele. She graduated from Grove High School (1949), attended UT Martin and graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (BS'54, MS'56). She taught Home Economics in Georgia and Indiana and Household Management at the University of Illinois where she retired as Professor Emeritus in 1988. After retirement she served as President of the Wilson County FCE Council. Jacqueline and her husband, Ernest have lived on their Century Farm in Cottage Home in east Wilson County since retirement in 1988. She is survived by her husband, Ernest F. Anderson; daughter, Frances Mayfield and husband, Donnie of Marietta, GA; son, Jack Anderson and wife, Jo Ann of North Richland Hills, TX; four grandchildren, Brandon Anderson and wife, Cortny and their daughter, Darby of Bedford, TX, Dana Wood and husband, John of Atlanta, GA, Samantha Anderson of New York City and Paul Mayfield of Marietta, Ga; sister, Patsy Burdette and husband, Ed; brothers, Charles Hill and wife, Carolyn, Clarence Cordell Hill and wife, Ann; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Noon, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. David Moody officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be at Prosperity Cemetery.
