Obituary

Lula Jean Pete, 72, of Broken Bow, passed away, Sunday, October 30, 2016 in Idabel, Oklahoma.

Lula was born April 5, 1944 in Eagletown, Oklahoma, the daughter of Raymond Amos and Francis Colbert Amos.

Lula was a member of the Mt. Fork Presbyterian Church in Eagletown. Lula enjoyed going to the Choctaw Senior Citizens Center, fishing, reading, playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Lula was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Amos and Francis Nelson; sister, Rachel Day, Dorothy Fisher and Mary Lee; brother, William Nelson.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her son, Allen Pete and wife Kim of Kinston, North Carolina; grandson, Alex Pete of Kinston, North Carolina; brother, Billy Nelson of Eagletown; sisters, Donzelle Jenkins and husband J.W. of Idabel, Napanee Ebert of Idabel; sister in law, Carla Nelson of Eagletown and special cousin, Faye Warford of Broken Bow; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A wake service was held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home in Broken Bow.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, with the Bro. Cy Davis officiating.


Interment will follow at the Mt. Fork Cemetery in Eagletown, Oklahoma.
