Robert C. Allen, 64, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Robert was a Naval Seabee and a Kentucky Colonel. He was also a member of Okolona Christian Church. Mr. Allen is preceded in death by parents, Joe and Ruth Allen; daughter Katrina Buckner; and brothers, Sonny Allen, Donald Allen. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Deborah Jewell Allen; son, Kenneth Buckner; granddaughters, Savannah Buckner, Hailey Buckner; brothers, Michael Allen (Glenda), Richard Allen; sisters, Wanda McDougall, Patsy Miller; mother – in – law, Helen Underwood Jewell; father – in- law, Carl Jewell Sr., and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 9:15 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood, & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm.
