Mrs. Vashti B. Collins, age 94, who has resided in Sulphur, La., for several years, died Thursday, February 14, after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Collins was a native of Winn Parish, member of the Sardis Baptist Church, and widow of the late J. S. Collins of Atlanta, La.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brown Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Shelton Collins, James L. Collins, Frank Mobley, Ballard L. Smith, Bobby Dupins(?), and Dewitt Collins.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Howell, Orange, Texas, and Mrs. Ethel Smith, Sulphur, La.; two sons, L. M. Collins, Althiemer, Ark., and G. M. Collins, Winnfield; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
