LAWTON - Services for Andrew Alexander, retired SFC, 71, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007, at Victory Temple Church of God in Christ with elders Lee White and Darryl Alexander officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery at 1 p.m. on April 23.

Born on Sept. 16, 1935, in Ardmore, Okla., he died on April 13, 2007, at his home after a short illness.

Mr. Alexander retired from the U.S. Army in 1978 as a SFC, and retired from civil services in 2001 as a GS9 with 191/2 years of service. He was a member of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ.

Andrew leaves to cherish his wife, Dorothy, of the home; four sons, Burton and Yvonne Smith, Darryl and Mona Alexander, Sacramento, Calif., Maurice and Debbie Alexander, Lawton, and Sean Alexander, Las Vegas; four sisters, Pearl Blair, Oklahoma City, Maxine Williams, Ardmore, Naomi (Robert) Washington, and Deborah Young, Los Angeles; three brothers, Alfred, Nathan and Joel, Los Angeles; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; father-in-law, Freddie Maryland; sister/brother-in-law, Marie and Richard Crawford; and brother-in-law, Henry Woods; 79 nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
