Jeremiah Aldrich received his academic training in Seakonk, RI and took a partial course in Bangor Theological Seminary. On 17 Feb 1863 he was ordained as a Congregational Minister at Plainfield, RI. He then served the following churches: 6 Feb 1864-Aug 67, Riverpoint, Warwick, RI; 1867-70, E. Bridgewater, MA; Jun 1870-May 1873, Union Congregational, Groton, MA; May 1873-Nov 1876, Rye, NH; Nov 1876-Aug 1879, Nashua, NH; Nov 1879-Jan 1885, 1st Congregational, Wellfleet, MA; 1885-87, Hyannis & W. Yarmouth, MA; 31 Oct 1886-30 Mar 1890, W. Barnstable, MA; 1892-96, Rye, NH; 1902-30 Oct 1904, Eastford, CT. He retired from active ministry on 30 Oct 1904 due to health reasons. He established and taught a classical seminary at Riverpoint, RI for 20 years.
Jeremiah married the first time on 3 Jun 1848 in Providence, RI to Sarah Hamer. They had eight children. He married for a second time, after the death of Sarah, to a Bertha Emma Anderson of Lewiston, ME on 9 Nov 1893 in Amesbury, MA. They had no known children. Rev. Aldrich died on 3 Aug 1905 in Boston, MA of Carcinoma of the Tonsil.
