Mrs. J.R. Perry
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 Monday afternoon for Mrs. Amanda Perry, aged 78, the widow of J.R. Perry, who died at the home of her son, B.C. Perry (Bertram Clyde Perry) at Van, on Saturday. The services were held in the residence and burial was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Maple Shade.
Mrs. Perry's death followed a six month illness. She was born in Butler County on November 24, 1855, a daughter of the late James and Nancy Mahood. She was united in marriage on September 9, 1875 to Mr. Perry and he died ten years ago.
Surviving are four children, B.C. Perry of Van; C.H. Perry and Mrs C.W. Briggs of Shippenville and H. H. Perry of Ridgeway.
Surviving also are 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.
