HENRY BUHMAN PASSES AWAY
Henry Buhman, a pioneer of Atchison county, died Saturday morning at the home of his son, W. A. Buhman, 1026 Laramie street. He would have been 90 years of age March 24. Mr. Buhman was born in Hamburg, Germany, coming to this country when very young. He settled at Nebraska City, Nebr., with his sister, making the trip overland by stage, and by steamboat up the Missouri river from St. Louis. He lived in the vicinity of Atchison sixty four years. He owned a farm south of town and lived alone there many years. Twelve years ago he left the farm to make his home with his son in Atchison. He is survived by two children, Mrs. Mary Stepanek, 610 South Seventh street, and W. A. Buchman; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the home, Monday afternoon at three o'clock. Rev. A. B. Shrader will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Buhman was born in Hamburg, Germany, coming to this country when very young.
