Also, this may be the Jacques DeNyse who died 28 February 1854 and is buried in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn. Following the death of Jacques, Jane married John Degraff, b. 1801, and appears with him in New Utrecht in the 1865 census (aged 62), with several adult Degraff children, and also Simon Denyse, aged 23, likely a son from her first marriage.
