Groves Cleveland Glasure, born 11 September 1871, died Easter Sunday 1 April 1945. Groves C. Glasure was shown as eight years old in the 1880 census. He married Myra L. Bruce 19 October 1898 with Rev. J.B. Allen officiating. On the 25th May 1903, G.C. Glasure received sixty-one and 85/100 acres more or less adjacent to land of J.W. Wright, Mrs. EP. Langford, Lou Langford, and his own land in Banks County from sisters as his share of his father's estate. His granddaughter, Martha Jane Carson, said of him, "Grandpa Cleve seems to have always been working on some kind of machinery and he had many outbuildings filled with scrap parts, motors, engines, etc." After his death in 1945, Grandma Myra began to live with her children. Myra was a truly Christian lady, warm, friendly and sweet with never a harsh word to or about anyone.
