Funeral Was Friday For Charles Burns
JEROME--Mr. and Mrs. Verlin Richardson went to Oskaloosa Wednesday to get Mrs. Ethel Robinson and bring her to the home of Mrs. Charley Burns. She was here to attend funeral service for her brother, Charley Burns, Friday afternoon.
Burns was taken to the hospital Monday and died Tuesday. He was 75. He was a retired miner and farmer and had lived in the Jerome neighborhood a long time. Survivors are his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Mrs. Richardson (Dorothy); two step-daughters, two step-sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a brother, John, of Polk City and a sister, Mrs. Robinson [Ethel].
