Effie Imogene "Kemp" Skipper was born October 14, 1933 Tyronza, Poinsett County Arkansas and died February 13, 2014 in Delhi, La. She lived 80 years and four months.

Imogene had a mischievous almost childlike personality. She found humor in everyday common occurrences. Success seemed to come without effort. No matter the problem, just hearing her pray somehow made everything seem okay. Her prayers may not have changed the situation but altered ones' outlook. She was generous to a fault refusing to see negative in anyone or anything. She aimed toward harmony and equity seeing both sides of a situation. The only thing greater than her personality and sense of humor was her love for God and Children. She led by example. Although the last three years Mother was completely dependent on others for her care, she said to her sister..... " I have never been happier or more content with my life as I am today". She maintained a precious, positive attitude. None could leave her presence without feeling a better person. She left a wonderful legacy and example. Although I would love to live up to her example, I never shall. God just made one Effie Imogene Kemp Skipper. I am grateful He allowed me to be her child. Ann Skipper Boykin 2-2014
