He served in the Civil War. Then on June 22, 1865, he married Hannah V. ELY (1847-1885) of Altoona. His father-in-law's obituary around August 24, 1882 indicates Andrew and his wife were living in Denver, Colorado. They are on the 1885 Census for Denver. On Sept 17, 1885, Hannah died and Andrew took her body back to Salina, Kansas for burial. Hannah's family was living there.
Around 1890 he married his second wife Clara Morton LONG (1858-1912). They had two children:
1. Bertha Maude FOSTER (1891-1974)
2. Cloyd Franklin FOSTER Sr. (1893-1975) (my paternal grandfather)
Sometime after the birth of his second child, Cloyd, he moved his family from Altoona to Huntingdon, PA.
He is buried beside his second wife Clara Morton LONG.
