Janice Elizabeth (White) Ade, 80, of West Lafayette, died, Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Westminster Village, surrounded her Family, after a 20 year battle with 8 different cancers. She was born May 20, 1935, in Yates Center, KS, to the late Harry & Helen (Liptrap) White. She had lived for 5 years & California & the last 70 years in Benton & Tippecanoe Counties. She attended Freeland Park High School & was a 1953 graduate of Fowler High School. She married Paul William Ade, May 27, 1967, in Oxford; he survives. She was a homemaker, but also had worked for an insurance company, was an Avon Representative for 20 years & helped her husband on the Family Farm. She was a member of Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, where she also taught Sunday School for 35 years. She treasured her Grandkids & attending their activities. She was a member of Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority & Bridge Club. She loved flowers, birds & cats, enjoyed painting, photography, traveling; especially taking cruises. She loved to win at cards & board games & talking & visiting with friends. She was a beautiful seamstress & had also served many years on the election board.

Surviving with her Husband, Paul W. Ade, West Lafayette, are a Daughter, Alicia Reed (Husband, Ryan) & Son, Steven Ade (Wife, Cindy), both of West Lafayette, 7 Grandchildren, Katelin, Emily, Conner, Kacie & Carly Ade & Liam & Aubree Reed, Brother, Frank White (Companion, Mary) 6 Nieces & 6 Nephews. She is preceded in death by Sister, Barbara & 3 Brothers, Larry, Wayne & Norman.

Visitation will be, Monday, November 30, 2015, from 4-7 PM, at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein. Funeral Services will be at 10 AM, Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gene Ansell officiating. Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Armstrong Chapel United Methodist Church or Otterbein Public Library.
