The wonderful life of Ina Frances Castleberry Morin Castleberry, age 84, ended Friday, June 15, 2012 two days before her 85th birthday. Ina passed away at a Salt Lake City care center after years of enduring the effects of Parkinson's disease. Through all her pain she continually looked for the bright and uplifting things of life and her thoughts were always of others. Her loving husband Russell S. Castleberry visited her daily for hours at Holladay Healthcare where she was cared for by a devoted staff, to whom we express our deepest appreciation. He and their six remaining children missed her, but knew she was free at last. Ina was born June 17, 1927 in Baker City, Oregon to Charles Arthur and Mary Jeanette Shipp Morin. She was raised on a ranch where she became an accomplished horsewoman, but it was music and entertaining that defined her life. She has blessed the lives of thousands with her beautiful voice and taught her own and many other children in California and Oregon to bless others through the gift of music. Her deep and abiding love for, and faith in, her Savior Jesus Christ might best define Ina. She was valiant in her faith and testimony and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Two daughters, Terry Val and Jenny Marie (Scott) Edgar, and two sisters, Elsie (Linn) Rockwood and Janet (Lolo) Junker and a grandson, David Jesse Bischoff preceded Ina in death. Along with her husband Russ, Ina was survived by her children Eve Feaster, Russ (Kash), Charles (Vanet), Tim, Sue Tappana, Joy (Roy) Bischoff, 36 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and her brother Arthur Morin and sister RitaRae (Ed) Elsberry. A viewing was held at Memorial Estates, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, UT 84121, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm. A memorial service was held at 12:00 pm, Monday, June 25 at Foxhill Ward, 200 South Eagle Ridge Drive, North Salt Lake, UT 84054, with a viewing prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:40. Interment followed the memorial service at Lake View Memorial Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.

Compiled from the memorial service program and obituary notices published in the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune on June 22, 2012.
