James was born in Tishomingo, OK on February 18, 1936, to George Emerson and Jesse Lee (Clifton) Clark. James was joined in marriage to Norma Vaughn on November 2, 1967. They celebrated 48 years of marriage and chose to make their home in Moore, OK. James became employed at Tinker Air Force Base in 1965, where he was employed as an electrician until he retired on April 30, 2007, after 42 years.James loved to travel. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching the Oklahoma Thunder play. One of the highlights of the year was to go pheasant hunting with his brother-in-law, Wayne; and son, Rick. Another event he particularly enjoyed was "Deer Camp" every November with his sons, Jim and Rick; and grandson, Rock.
