Henry Noble Greene, 84, of La Place died at St. Marys hospital at 8:40 pm Friday. He was employed in the service department of the Illinois Bell Telephone co, in Decatur for 14 years before 1929.
Mr.Green was born in La Place Jan. 24, 1859 and was married to Sarah Ann Smith in Mt. Zion township in 1880.
He is survived by a son,Donald E.Greene of Los Angles,Calif. Mrs. Greene died five years ago.
The body was taken to Dawson & Wikoff funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of his son from California.
