The 11th of 12 children born to William F Gwinn and Nancy Triplett was known as Brock, Brack or B.B. Gwinn. When Brack was 4 years old in 1864 his parents, uncle Joseph F Gwinn & Grandmother, Rebecca Owens Gwinn forfeited their land and farm in Missouri to live in Washington due to their opposition of the Civil War, then settled in Walla Walla, Washington. Brock married Elizabeth Spurgeon about 1884 in Pine City, Whitman County, Washington and they had two children: Vernon Elmer & Avice Emiline Gwinn. He remained single after his divorce from Elizabeth abt. 1892. He worked as a crew supervisor and helped to build the railroad lines over the Cascade Mountains and throughout Eastern WA. In his later years he lost his lower right arm due to a railroad. He died of a Stroke in Milton, Umatilla County, Oregon and is buried in an unmarked family plot at Mountain View Cemetery along with his parents; William F. & Nancy Triplett Gwinn, plus, his brother's William M (1848 - 1926) and Rueben Wesley (1844-1922).
