Mrs. Mary E. Ecker, a life resident of Canton, died Sunday morning in Aultman Hospital where she had been a patient since Oct. 21 when she suffered a fractured hip in a fall. Her home was at 23 4th st NE.
Mrs. Ecker, who was 86, was a member of the Pythian Sisters and Daughters of the American Revolution. She leaves a son, Albert E. Ecker of Canton, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. She was the widow of Charles L. Ecker, and her parents were George and Katherine Betz.
Rev. Otto Fangmeyer will officiate at funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Wackerly funeral home at 1375 Market ave N. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are tonight from 7 to 9.
NOTE: Although this states she was Charles Ecker's widow; the 1920 census shows her as divorced. Charles had a second wife and family in California after the divorce.
