The service was Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home. The Rev. Dwayne Pierce officiated and burial was in Blanche Cemetery.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Wiley and Sarah Franklin Atchley. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European, African, and Middle Eastern theaters, a retired carpenter, and a member of Harmony Hill Church of God.
Survivors are his wife, Louise Beddingfield Atchley; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Clayton of White Sands, New Mexico; two brothers, Howard Atchley of Ardmore and Monroe Atchley of Wyoming; and three grandchildren.
