LOIS PATRICIA FLORY BATSCHELET, age 77, of Nokesville, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 at her residence.
Lois was born and raised in Nokesville and graduated from Brentsville High School in 1951. Upon graduating from high school, she attended Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their river cottage, fishing and doing crossword puzzles. She was a life long member of Nokesville Church of the Brethren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter L. and LaVerne (Lokey) Flory and her brother, H. Lee Flory.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Eddie Batschelet, Jr.; two children, Pattie Chitwood and husband John of Nokesville, Virginia and C.E. Batschelet III of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; one sister, Alice F. Lund of Manassas, Virginia; five grandchildren, Rusty, Jeremy, Trey, Candace and Carla and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 25, 2011 at Nokesville Church of the Brethren, 13002 Fitzwater Drive, Nokesville, Virginia with Pastor Mark Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Nokesville, Virginia.
