PONTOTOC – Kaye Dillard Akers, 60, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at her home. She was born Jan. 23, 1953, to Wayne and Mavis Harlow Dillard. She attended Pontotoc High School and owned Ecru Fish & Steak for many years. She was a member of West Heights Baptist Church. She never met a stranger and valued family above all. Her greatest joy was her grandsons. She played a role in so many children's lives and was known to many as ""Miss Kaye.""

Services will be at noon Saturday, Nov. 30, at Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her mother, Mavis Robbins; two daughters, Angie Akers and Ashley Dowdy (Josh); two grandsons, Brandon Akers and Lyge Dowdy; two sisters, Barbara Russell and Lisa Foster; one brother, Dennis Dillard, all of Pontotoc; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Wayne Dillard.

Pallbearers to serve will be Joe Parker, Billy Wayne Dillard, Mike Wilson, Terry and Phil Harlow, Frankie Moorman and Craig Chrestman.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Friday and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home.
