Jean went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 4, 2014 at her residence at the age of 85.
She was a resident of Erwinville and a native Toccopola, MS.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Smith and Darnell Reed; son, Kenneth Northrop and wife Diane; 18 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and sisters, Boots Griffin and Hazel Zachary.
Preceded in death by her husband, Houston H. Northrop; daughter, Carolyn Ann Hornsby; sons, Gerald "Red" and Houston "Jr." Northrop; grandchildren, Christina and Kristen; sister, Bobbie Brown; and brothers, Robert, Billy and Huey Henderson.
