Lulu Ruth (Yingling) Crilley, 95, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 10855 Bailey Springs Road, Waynesboro, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, in the home. Born Nov. 16, 1903, in Littlestown, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Ruhamma (Crumine) Yingling. She lived her early life in Littlestown. She attended Littlestown High School. She and her husband, Clarence Benton Crilley, were married May 13, 1927, in Hagerstown. They moved to the Bailey Springs Road address around 1930. Mr. Crilley died Oct. 11, 1968. Mrs. Crilley entered Quincy United Methodist Home in July 1996. Mrs. Crilley was employed for a short time by Gettysburg Shoe Factory. Mrs. Crilley was a member of Calvary Chapel Episcopal Church, Beartown, where she was the oldest living member.
She also was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15 Ladies Auxiliary, Waynesboro. She was a volunteer for the Blue Ridge Summit Fire. Co. and Meal on Wheels of Franklin County.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary E. Menges of Hanover and Gladys V. Kriner, Fern L. Pryor and Henrietta S. Rowe, all of Waynesboro; three sons, Clarence "Jim" Crilley, Jr. of Zullinger, Lorenzo E. Crilley of Waynesboro and Stanley L. Crilley of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and
nephews. The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by a son, William Haugh in 1970, a step-daughter, Hilda Byers in 1992, and two sisters, Emma Zinn and Edna Laughman.

Services will be held in 11 a.m. Monday in Calvary Chapel Episcopal Church, Beartown, with Pastor Daphne Killhour officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Chapel Cemetery, Beartown. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Chapel Episcopal Church, P.O.
