During his long illness he suffered patiently, never complaining about his condition. His aged mother together with brothers and sisters were constantly with him during the last few hours. He was satisfied to pass away and was conscious and recognized those about him until death released him of his sufferings.
The deceased was the youngest son of Mrs. Anna Foslien. He was born at Clinton, Wis., May 24, 1870, thus being 46 years of age at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his death his aged mother, five sisters, Mrs. H. Johnson, Mrs. Lewis Anderson, Mrs. W. Werner, Rachel and Carrie, all of Brandon, and two brothers, Charley of Sauk Centre and Fingar of Moe; and two children, Lucile and Adrian.
The funeral was held from the Foslien home and from the Norwegian Lutheran Free church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Louis Hanson of Alexandria officiating. The Brandon Fire Department, of which he was a member, escorted the remains to their final resting place. The pallbearers were Clifford and Alfred Foslien, Clarence Johnson, Albert Holmgren, Henry Christenson and Math Nelson. Interment took place at the Brandon cemetery.
